Facial surgery
Facial plastic surgery in Madrid
The face ages in layers: the skin, the fat, the SMAS that supports it and the bone underneath. Each procedure on this page works on one of them.
A rejuvenation plan can combine several, and doing all of them is rarely indicated. What each face needs is decided by the examination.
How the procedure is chosen
The first question at the consultation is where the change that bothers you lies. A tired look can come from the eyelid or from the brow, and a neck without a defined angle can be due to skin, fat, muscle or a chin that lacks projection. Each cause has its own treatment, and treating the wrong area leaves the problem where it was.
That is why the assessment separates the layers before proposing anything, and it may lead to a combination of procedures, a single one or the advice to wait.
Face and neck
- 01 Deep plane facelift Repositions the face by working beneath the SMAS and releasing the retaining ligaments. It acts on the midface, the nasolabial fold and the jawline.
- 02 Neck lift Treats the platysma, the skin and fat of the neck, and the deep compartment when the angle is filled by volume beneath the muscle.
- 03 Mini facelift A limited surgical approach for early laxity, with good skin tone and a neck that keeps its angle.
Eyes and upper face
- 01 Blepharoplasty Removes excess skin from the upper eyelid and treats lower eyelid bags, which are fat pushing forward.
- 02 Brow lift Repositions the brow and forehead. It is considered when the tail of the brow drops and drags the eyelid skin with it.
Before deciding between eyelid and brow, it helps to know that a tired look does not always come from the eyelids.

Nose and profile
Nose and profile surgery has its own section: rhinoplasty, including ultrasonic rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, non-surgical rhinoplasty with fillers, profileplasty and chin surgery.
Frequently asked questions
Which procedure do I need?
It depends on which layer of the face has changed most. The examination distinguishes whether the problem lies in the skin, the fat, the SMAS or the bone, and a plan is proposed from there. It may be one procedure, several or none.
Can several procedures be combined in one operation?
Yes, a facelift is often combined with blepharoplasty, a temporal lift, platysma correction or a lip lift. It is decided case by case, weighing the total operating time and the anaesthetic risk. Sometimes it is better to stage them.
Are there alternatives without surgery?
Threads, radiofrequency, focused ultrasound, botulinum toxin, fillers and biostimulators solve other problems, mainly skin quality and volume. They do not reposition tissue that has sagged.
A medical consultation, in person or online, is essential before any treatment is decided, surgical or not: the same diagnosis can have several treatment options.
